Two Instagrammable brunch spots in Copenhagen

Two foodies and two incredible brunch spots. I’ll keep this post short and sweet. If you are in Copenhagen for a couple of nights – you must visit these places. No questions asked.

Bowl Market

Fit baristas and bangin’ coffee. It was already a good start for Bowl Market. But their design your own porridge bowl was just another level. How could something so simple that you can make at home be so damn exciting in another country?

We both opted for a very similar combo. Typical white girls with banana and peanut butter and a few blueberries thrown in there.

Porridge is not usually something I rave about but this place took it to new extremes, genuinely cooked to perfection – something you just can’t do in the microwave at home. I had no idea porridge could taste so indulgent.

Whatever you please, they customise it. Type of oats? Gluten-free if you fancy or maybe a combo of rolled oats with some fancy seeds thrown in there? They do it all! Not a dairy fan? Or just fancy the oat milk for the ‘gram? No worries. Bowl Market had all of the types of milk you could ever dream of.

Despite this being a very simply idea for a breakfast place in Copenhagen – they have nailed it and I promise it will be better than any porridge you make at home. Plus the bowl never ends (literally the most filling bowl of porridge you will ever eat).

Mad & Kaffe

Mad & Kaffe also had a customisable aspect to it. Why is there something so exciting about customising your own breakfast? Is this not what we do every morning at home? I don’t get it. But it is so frickin’ great, I cannot get enough.

Mad & Kaffe was so busy inside, we sat outside on a cold September morning. This was no problem though – they provided blankets for everyone and their adorable coffee cups kept our hands warm anyway! I love little touches like this at cafes, it gives personality and makes them feel homely.

We were given two sheets of paper and all we had to do was fill in the options we wanted to receive lots of small plates on a platter (3 items, 5 items or 7 items). We both opted for 5 items on our platter and what arrived was certainly not disappointing. You can check out their incredible menu, here.

So there ya have it! Two must-go instagram-perfect brunch places in Copenhagen. 10/10 would go again!

Lotsa love legends,

Jess x
